AI Keyboard
An Android keyboard (IME) for voice-to-text dictation powered by Groq Whisper, with AI-powered text correction, fully offline typing assistance, and hold gestures for digits and punctuation.
About the App
AI Keyboard lets you speak instead of type in any app. Voice is recorded first and then transcribed with full sentence context by Groq’s Whisper model (recommended), Gemini Live, or Android’s built-in recognizer. You can optionally run text through AI “prompts” to fix grammar or rewrite tone using your own Groq or Gemini API key — and while you type, offline suggestions, auto-fix, and next-word prediction help without ever touching the network.
Highlights
- Voice-to-text dictation inside any app — Groq Whisper (recommended), Gemini Live, or Android speech recognition
- Optional AI correction/rewriting via Groq or Gemini, with built-in and custom prompts
- Field Correction — hold a prompt chip to correct the whole text box, preview, and replace with a five-second Undo (off by default)
- Offline typing assistance — suggestion strip, auto-fix on space, next-word prediction, and a learned-words manager; no network, no API key
- Hold gestures — top-row digits, a sixteen-mark Punctuation Palette on . or , and hold-to-delete that clears whole words after the first second
- AI Transform — rewrite selected or shared text from other apps, then replace, copy, or share
- Correction preview with a model badge and Insert / Copy / Share / Dismiss
- Settings for auto-correct, auto-insert, and auto-copy
- Local token-usage statistics screen
How It Works
- Switch to AI Keyboard and tap the microphone.
- Speak, then tap Stop — your full recording is transcribed at once, so the AI hears your complete sentence for better accuracy.
- If AI correction is enabled and an API key is configured, the transcript is sent to Groq or Gemini using your selected prompt and shown as a preview.
- Insert the result into the current text field, or copy/share it.
- Or skip the mic entirely: type with offline suggestions and auto-fix, hold a top-row key for a digit, hold . or , for punctuation, or hold a prompt chip to correct the whole message in place.
